Welcome to TDFC

Welcome back for the 2026 season following one of the most successful years in our club’s history. In 2025, all four football teams and seven of our eight netball teams featured in finals, culminating in a premiership for our development team and a hard-fought runner-up finish for our senior side, narrowly missing out against a strong Narnargoon lineup.

As we head into the new season, all areas of the club have been working hard in preparation. Our pavilion upgrades are progressing well and remain on track for completion prior to our first home game on Anzac Day. While the ground works were not as extensive as originally planned, they have already made a significant improvement to the playing surface.

Further drainage works for the oval have now been approved by council and will commence at the conclusion of the 2026 season. In addition, construction of a new social and meeting space will take place throughout the year, providing a fantastic area for watching games, hosting functions, and supporting club activities into the future.

There will, however, be some disruption during the season, particularly around parking and access to the pavilion. We appreciate your patience and understanding during this time.

We are pleased to welcome several new committee members: Danni Mackintosh (Treasurer), Adam Campbell, Brett Murray, David and Julie O’Connell, and Colin Plant. Matt Hardy also steps into the role of Vice President this year.
We thank our outgoing committee members — Nick Pouki, Grant Ansalde, Marg Lenders, Luke Spain, Kim Provan and Daniel Stafford — for their valued contributions to the club.

Our coaches and players have been preparing since November, including a well-attended pre-season camp in Torquay that helped build strong connections within the group.
Jordan Kelly returns as Senior Coach, supported by Assistant Coach Nick Pouki, following his development premiership success in 2025. We also congratulate Daniel Stafford on his appointment as Development Coach.

The broader coaching team includes Colin Elkins, Jason Budge, and Matt Shinners in the newly created role of Coaching Coordinator. David Worrall continues with our Under 18s, and we welcome Curt Stephens as Under 16s coach.

While we have farewelled several senior players pursuing new opportunities, we thank them for their significant contributions and wish them all the best. At the same time, we are excited to welcome new players including Chevy Anderson, Liam Frazer and Lachlan Young, who have already integrated strongly into the group.

We are also particularly excited to see our Under 18 players step into senior football, bringing great talent and energy as they begin the next stage of their journey with the club. Combined with the continued development of our existing group, this builds strong depth and positions us well for sustained success.

It also promises to be an exciting season for our veterans under new coach James Wheeler, with several familiar faces returning, an exciting list will be taking the field in the newly expanded league.

Off the field, our functions committee has been busy planning a great lineup of events for the year ahead — keep an eye on our social channels for updates.
